Thank
you for your purchase of Homelec Rock Lights. The Rock Light garden lighting range offers
the ideal lighting effect to any garden. Keep
a copy of these instructions for future reference. |
Please read these instructions fully before commencing the installation: |
|
|
· | These
lights are only to be connected to a 12V low voltage lighting system.· |
· | Only use
either lights provided with this kit or compatible lights from the Homelec rock
light range. |
· | Only
use the transformer supplied or a transformer from the Homelec Ornamental Rock
Lighting range. |
· | Disconnect the power
before changing a lamp and ensure the lamp is cool before handling. |
· | Ensure the cable
is routed so it is not a trip hazard. |
· | Ensure the light
fitting is not too close to the object it is lighting.
Recommended minimum distance is 20cm. |
· | Allow sufficient
space around the light fitting for the heat to dissipate. |
· | Ensure that the wattage
of all the lights combined does not exceed the rating of the transformer. |
· | The transformer must
be plugged in indoors or in a suitable weatherproof socket. |
· | The electrical supply
should be protected by a Residual Current Device (RCD). |
· | Only adjust the cable
and lights when the power is switched off. |
· | If
in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. |
|
|
1 | Place
the lights in the desired position, either to light up a feature or as a feature
in your garden. Ensure the light is stable and not likely to
fall over. |
2 | Route
the light cable back to the transformer, ensuring it is not a trip hazard.
Connect the light cable to the transformer. |
3 | Repeat
for the remaining lights, if appropriate. |
|
The transformer is weatherproof and may be mounted outside. However, if mounting it outside we recommend
that it is mounted off the ground and the outlet sockets are pointing downwards. The
transformer may now be plugged into an appropriate indoor socket or a suitable
weatherproof outdoor socket. The socket
should be protected by a residual current device (RCD). |
|
|
1 | Switch
off the power supply to transformer and ensure the lamp is cool before handling. |
2 | Remove
the three screws holding lens ring. |
3 | Remove
the lens ring and the lens. |
4 | Ease
the lens out of the housing and replace it with a lamp of the same style and rating. |

tighten the screws. |
