Fragile Goods at Risk

Items marked as “FRAGILE - AT RISK” are very fragile and have a high risk of being damaged in transit. “Fragile at Risk” items are normally only ordered for collection, or for delivery from a local branch.

Oversized Goods

Long or bulky goods are difficult to transport by normal courier services. “Oversized” items are normally only ordered for collection, or for delivery from a local branch.

These items are too long or bulky to be delivered by our normal couriers.

Currently TNT will deliver most plastic trunking and conduits to Mainland UK addresses. You may also be able to arrange a collection by your own courier.

Heavy Goods

Due to the weight and overall size of some products (eg. storage heaters), special handling and additional delivery charges may apply.

We generally use our own transport and will require help to unload the goods at the delivery address.

Special Deliveries / Surcharge

A selected range of products, such as cooker hoods, cookers, ovens, etc. require a special delivery service to ensure the safe arrival of the goods.

For Elica and Elichef (cooker hoods, cookers and ovens) deliveries, customers will be contacted in advance and a delivery date will be arranged. We can not offer evening deliveries.

Baumatic

Delivery times for items not in stock at a TLC Branch approx 3 – 5 working days.

Nationwide Delivery

Larger items such as ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, fridges, etc. require a special delivery service (direct from Baumatic) to ensure the safe arrival of the goods which may occasionally incur a surcharge. We will advise before your order is processed.

The following conditions apply for deliveries direct from Baumatic

  1. Good access for a lorry required
  2. A pre arranged delivery day will be advised (we are unable to guarantee AM or PM delivery times)
  3. If when the delivery is made when there is nobody in, a Surcharge will be made of £40.00
  4. Products over 20kg have the weight shown under the picture on the individual product page. You must have adequate manpower to unload on site

If you require help to unload / unpack or to position the product please state at time of ordering in the Additional Instructions Box at checkout.

If we need to arrange for extra manpower or a smaller vehicle this may incur an extra charge and may delay the delivery time. We will advise before your order is processed.

Very Large Items

American range style cookers and Fridges etc. must be delivered direct from Baumatic.

Van Vault

For Van Vault products, expected delivery time is approximately 2–3 working days.

This item will be delivered directly to you by our supplier.

Delivery is free throughout UK and Northern Ireland including Isle of Man & Isle of Wight.

We do not deliver to off shore islands in Scotland or to the Republic of Ireland.

We will pass your details (including phone number) to our supplier who will arrange delivery with you. Delivery will take place Monday to Friday between 8am – 6pm.

Luxair

We strongly advise all customers not to book fitters until they have received the Luxair product and have checked it.

Delivery time for items not in stock at a TLC branch is approximately 7—10 working days and is subject to change.

Upon delivery a signature will be required.

Important — Please inspect the goods for damage at the point of delivery and inform TLC within 48 hours of any damages.

Warranty / Faulty

The parts and labour warranty must be registered with Luxair within 31 days of installation.

Important — All models MUST be installed on minimum 125mm round ducting (150mmx70mm rectangular equivalent) Failure to do so will result in your warranty being void and any service call will be chargeable as well as parts.

Damaged Goods

Important — Please inspect the goods for damage at the point of collection.

Delivery via Carrier / Direct from Luxair

Important — Please inspect the goods for damage at the point of delivery and inform TLC within 48 hours of any damages.

Please check the goods and inspect them before you install them.

We are sorry but goods that have been received as damaged and proceeded to be installed cannot be exchanged or refunded as these have been accepted as seen.

The item cannot be refunded if on inspection by TLC (or Luxair) the item is found to have been damaged through installation or mishandling.

Return of Unwanted Goods

Important — Please make sure you have checked the size correctly before ordering as you will be liable for return postage costs. In some cases a handling charge may need to be applied and this will be deducted from the final refund.

All goods must be returned unused, in perfect resalable condition and have not been subject to installation. If installation has taken place the return will be rejected and is non-refundable.

All items must be in perfect, re-saleable condition and this includes packaging.

If the returned item requires repackaging in order to be re-sold there will be a charge incurred for this. On average, the re-boxing charge is £25.00 and £50.00 for larger cooker hoods. This will be deducted from the final refund.

Important — If the original packaging is torn or marked with pen/tape, etc, then a re-boxing charge will need to be applied. Please do not damage or mark the Luxair box in any way and ensure the packaging is returned in the same condition you received it.

Unwanted goods must be returned at your own cost. The original delivery charge will not be refunded if items have been ordered in error.

Orders will not be refunded if the item has become damaged in transit back to TLC, a claim will need to be made through your transport company.

We recommend if the item is large or of high value to use a pallet company and NOT courier to limit the chance of damage in transit.
