17th Edition Update Course City & Guilds 2382 : (1 Day)
who already have their 16th Editions Regulations or equivalent and need to update to the 17th Edition.
If your 16th edition qualification was obtained prior to June 2001 you will need to attend the full 3 Day course
- On this course, you will upgrade your existing knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations by studying the form, content and application of the requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (17th Edition)
- The course is made up of eight units, relating to parts 1 to 7 of BS 7671, plus the 2008 Appendices.

Definitions
Assessment of general characteristics
Protection for safety
Selection and erection of equipment
Inspection and testing
Special installations or locations
Scope, object and fundamental principles

To take this qualification, you must have one of the following qualifications:
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: (2381), 16th edition
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and Structures) (2330-07)
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08)
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part Two (2360) (from January 1st 2004 onwards only) - To sit this exam, you must provide evidence of your qualifications. Make sure to bring your City & Guilds Certificate with you (not a copy).
You will not be able to sit the exam without it.
If you have not already gained your City & Guilds 16th Edition 2318 (or recognised equivalent) you will need to take the 3-day City & Guilds 2382, 17th Edition Course. - If you gained your City & Guilds 16th Edition 2318 (or recognised equivalent) before June 2001 you will need to take the 3-day City & Guilds 2382, 17th Edition Course.
