This course gives you the knowledge, skills and qualifications to enable you to competently install your domestic electrical work, compliant with Building Regulations Part P.
(It cannot be taken alone unless you are an experienced electrician or attended our domestic installer practical course )
Part P Building Regulations were introduced in 2005 as a way of ensuring that electrical installations in domestic systems are safely and properly installed. By law, anyone carrying out this kind of work must be fully competent. The Part P VRQ Certificate is your proof that you are competent to do the work.
This 5-day course will bring you up to the required safety legal standards, compliant with Part P Building Regulations. On completing the course, you will be able to register as a Domestic Electrical Installer with the ability to install, inspect, test and certify your work. Put simply, its an essential qualification you need to do the job.
The Part P VRQ Domestic Electrical Installers Level 2 Course includes: Applicable Building Regulations Electrical Safety legislation, regulations, standards and terminology Pre-work survey/inspection Safe isolation procedures Identification of unsafe electrical situations Earthing and bonding requirements Electrical test procedures Cable and component selection Installation and replacement of electrical components Checking the correct and safe operation of installed electrical components Recording of electrical test results and completion of certification Installing and/or rerouting cables Special locations New circuit requirements Installing domestic lighting circuits Maintaining domestic electrical Installations Basic understanding of 3 Phase supplies.
