Regulation 722.531.3 of BS7671:2018+A2:2022 (the wiring regulations) requires that the RCDs used to
protect EV car chargers shall disconnect all live conductors. The neutral is considered a live conductor
and therefore must also disconnect in the event of a fault.
Contactum's single module SP+ N 30mA RCBO is designed to assist contractors to comply with this requirement .
This device is of a compact design and slots seamlessly into the Defender 2 Consumer Units.
It incorporates Type A RCD protection with a current rating of 40A in B overcurrent curve.
